Former Cameraman Sues Megan Thee Stallion for Hostile Work Environment and Harassment

A former cameraman for Megan Thee Stallion, Emilio Garcia, has filed a new lawsuit against the singer, claiming a hostile work environment and harassment. Garcia alleges that he was forced to watch Stallion have sex with another woman while trapped in a moving vehicle, among other incidents. The complaint, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, also states that Garcia is owed more than six figures in back pay.

Garcia started working with Stallion in 2018 and went full-time a year later. One incident mentioned in the complaint occurred in June 2022 in Ibiza, Spain, where Garcia says he was in a vehicle with Stallion and three other women. He claims Stallion and one woman started having sex next to him, leaving him embarrassed and unable to escape as they were in a moving car in a foreign country.

After this incident, Garcia says Stallion warned him not to discuss what he saw. He also alleges that Stallion fat-shamed him, told him to spit out his food, and criticized his eating habits. Garcia's compensation structure reportedly changed upon returning from Ibiza, and he saw a decrease in bookings.

The lawsuit also accuses Stallion and her companies of wage and employment violations. Garcia claims he did not have basic insurance coverage while working for Stallion. He was allegedly fired in June 2023, with Roc Nation informing him the night before a scheduled gig that his services were no longer required.

Garcia seeks unpaid wages, overtime wages, statutory penalties, and punitive damages. His lawyer, Ron Zambrano, stated that Stallion should pay Garcia what he's due and stop the alleged harassment and fat-shaming. Megan's attorney, Alex Spiro, called the lawsuit an employment claim for money, with no sexual harassment claim filed, and said they would address it in court.
