Fighters' Comebacks: Jose Aldo Eyes McGregor's Return at UFC 303 as He Preps for UFC 301

Jose Aldo is looking forward to seeing Conor McGregor make his return to the octagon against Michael Chandler at UFC 303, hoping to witness McGregor's old magic in action.

McGregor, coming back after almost three years away, will take on Chandler in the welterweight main event on June 29 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Aldo, despite his bitter loss to McGregor in a 13-second knockout that ended his UFC featherweight title reign, holds no ill will and wishes McGregor success.

"I have great expectations for that fight," Aldo shared with MMA Junkie, "And as I always say, I always root for the guys who I fought and the guys who have beaten me because, you know, that just proves that I lost to the best and I lost to champions."

"So I hope that he can go in there and be the Conor of old, and be aggressive, and go in there to finish the fight, and not leave it to the judges. But you know, I expect great things from that fight."

Meanwhile, UFC Hall of Famer Aldo is gearing up for his own comeback, stepping out of retirement to face Jonathan Martinez in the co-main event at UFC 301 on May 4 at Rio Arena in Rio de Janeiro. This bout will also mark the final fight on his current UFC contract.

Excitement is brewing for UFC 303, with fans eager to see both Aldo and McGregor back in action. For more details on the event, check out MMA Junkie’s event hub for UFC 303.
