Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon have just added a new bundle of joy to their family! On Monday, this beloved Bachelor Nation couple announced the arrival of their second child. They took to Instagram and People to share the exciting news.
Meet Hayden Cruise Haibon, the newest member of their family. Born at 2:29 p.m. on July 22, 2024, Hayden weighed in at 8 pounds, 7 ounces at INOVA Fairfax Hospital. Iaconetti and Haibon couldn’t be more thrilled: “Baby is healthy and so is Mama! Seeing Dawson meet his little brother for the first time was as precious as we always imagined. Dawson is brimming with love and couldn't stop petting Hayden,” they shared.
Ashley and Jared's journey began back in 2015 on the set of “Bachelor in Paradise,” but their love story didn’t officially kick off until May 2018. Their romance quickly heated up, and they were engaged just weeks after going public with their relationship. By 2019, they had tied the knot and embarked on their married life together. Their first son, Dawson, arrived in 2022, and at the time, Haibon couldn’t stop praising the smoothness of the labor.
“He’s so sweet & beautiful and has been sleeping all day. Unlike his Mom and Dad who are running on empty right now, but it's totally worth it!” Haibon shared on Instagram.
With both Ashley and Jared hailing from families of four, it was no surprise when they revealed their desire for Dawson to have a sibling. “We knew we wanted Dawson to have a brother or sister,” they told People earlier this year.
However, preparing for baby number two has come with its own set of challenges. “I think we’re obviously a little nervous about how to juggle two,” Iaconetti admitted in May. “Having our first child was a big lifestyle change, and we’re just curious and excited to see how we handle keeping two little ones alive.”
Finding the perfect name for their new baby was another adventure altogether. “Coming up with a boy’s name we both loved was much tougher the second time around,” Haibon said. Ultimately, they drew inspiration from Iaconetti’s teenage crush on Hayden Christensen’s portrayal of Anakin Skywalker, as well as their mutual admiration for Tom Cruise.
“We bonded over being Tom Cruise fans when we first met on ‘Bachelor in Paradise,’” Haibon reminisced. “We’ve always admired his passion, determination, and charisma in his roles.” They even had the chance to meet Cruise at the 2023 premiere of “Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One.” Haibon noted that Cruise’s “warmth and caring reception” further solidified their decision to name their son Hayden.
Iaconetti shared a glimpse of their new life on her Instagram story, promising to elaborate on the birth story soon. She also posted adorable side-by-side photos of Dawson and his newborn brother, giving fans a peek at their growing family.
In the Bachelor Nation world, while “Bachelor in Paradise” didn’t air in 2024, fans can look forward to its return for a 10th season in 2025. This will follow Jenn Tran’s season of “The Bachelorette” and the debut of “The Golden Bachelorette.” Additionally, Season 29 of “The Bachelor” is slated to air early in 2025.
So, while Bachelor Nation keeps its eyes peeled for more TV drama and romance, Ashley and Jared are busy with the beautiful chaos of their expanding family. Congratulations to the Haibon family as they embark on this new chapter with little Hayden!
