Written by Published

Dave Coulier just scored the biggest win of his life, and his "Full House" family is right there celebrating with him! After battling stage 3 Non-Hodgkin lymphoma since October 2024, Coulier has officially been declared "cancer-free."

His longtime co-star and friend, Candace Cameron Bure, couldn't contain her excitement as she shared the incredible news on Instagram. "DAVE IS CANCER FREE!!!!" she wrote in all caps, alongside a heartwarming photo of herself with Coulier and his wife, Melissa Coulier. "Join me in celebrating this AMAZING news — let's shower him with all the love in the world! ❤️❤️❤️"

Adding to the wave of joy, Kelly Rizzo, the wife of the late Bob Saget, chimed in on the post. "I knew we would get this good news soon!! We all love you so much, Dave! I know Bob is smiling down big," she commented, proving that Coulier’s Full House family still stands strong through thick and thin.

A representative for Coulier later confirmed the news to People magazine, while USA TODAY has reached out for further comment. This update comes right after Coulier sat down for an interview with Parade, where he opened up about his battle and how his latest biopsy showed "no sign of cancer." In true comedic fashion, he quipped, "One of the few times in my life when 'zero' has been a great number to hear."

But that’s not the only major life event for Coulier. His improved health means he gets to embrace another cherished role—being a grandfather! His son Luc and wife Alex, who live in California, recently welcomed their first child. "We'll be making multiple trips to see that little boy," Coulier shared, beaming with excitement.

For Coulier, this journey has been deeply personal. He first revealed his diagnosis in November 2024 on an episode of his podcast, "Full House Rewind," as well as in an interview with People magazine. Appearing on the podcast with a hat covering his shaved head, he explained that he had started chemotherapy and took a "preemptive strike" by cutting his hair. "Cancer has affected nearly all of us," he shared, noting the heartbreaking losses of his sister, niece, and mother to the disease. His older sister is also currently fighting cancer.

Reflecting on his family’s struggles, Coulier expressed admiration for their strength. "I saw what they went through, and if I can be even half as strong as they were during their battles, I'm going to put up a pretty good fight," he said.

Throughout this challenging time, Coulier had a rock-solid support system. His wife Melissa and close friends worked together on a "very specific plan" to navigate his treatment. A critical moment came when his bone marrow test returned negative—a game-changing result that sent his odds of a full recovery soaring to the 90% range.

Now, with cancer behind him and a new chapter ahead, Coulier is embracing life with gratitude and enthusiasm. His journey is not just one of personal triumph, but also a testament to the power of resilience, love, and unwavering support. His Full House family, his real-life family, and his fans are all celebrating right alongside him—because this is one victory that truly deserves a standing ovation!
