Blunt admitted that despite all the buzz leading up to it, being called an Academy Award nominee still hasn't fully sunk in. She mentioned feeling nervous about it all and trying not to pay too much attention to the hype. But when the big moment finally came, it was downright magical.
Here's the kicker: she found out about her nomination right after picking up her dog's business in Brooklyn. Talk about timing! She had a quick tearful moment on the sidewalk, and even her hubby John Krasinski got emotional after helping out with the cleanup. Can you imagine? Poop duty leading to an Oscar moment!
Blunt's nominated for her role as Kitty Oppenheimer in "Oppenheimer," where she really got into the character's head, understanding her frustrations and struggles.
And let's not forget her drunk scenes in the movie. She joked about only attempting method acting with alcohol once before and said it was a total disaster. Lesson learned: she prefers to keep it sober on set.
