Hello, Dolly! The Musical: Dolly Parton's Broadway Encore

Dolly Parton, the country music legend, is gearing up to make a grand return to Broadway with an exciting announcement!

Announced just recently, Dolly shared, "I've been pouring my heart into creating my life story as a Broadway musical, and I'm thrilled to say that we're finally bringing 'Hello, I'm Dolly – An Original Musical' to life on the Broadway stage." The title of the musical is a nod to her first album, "Hello, I'm Dolly," drawing inspiration from the classic 1964 Tony-winning musical "Hello, Dolly!"

"I've been dreaming of seeing this show come to life for years," exclaimed Dolly in a recent statement. "I've penned a bunch of new songs for the musical, and of course, all your favorites will be in there too. Get ready for a rollercoaster of emotions – laughter, tears, and plenty of foot-stomping fun. It's gonna be a real hoot! So, mark your calendars and don't you dare miss it!"

But this isn't Dolly's first rodeo on Broadway. Back in 2009, she made waves with her musical prowess, writing the score for "9 to 5 the Musical." It was during the London revival of this show that the seeds for "Hello, I'm Dolly - An Original Musical" were sown. And this time, not only is Dolly crafting the original score, but she's also teaming up with Maria S. Schlatter to co-write the book, promising an unforgettable Broadway experience.
