Pitbull's Hit Song Gets Orchestral Twist in Bridgerton Season 3 Romance

Lord Pitbull has officially joined the ton! Last week, Netflix dropped the first four episodes of Bridgerton's highly-anticipated third season, focusing on the slow-burning romance between Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington. The moment everyone’s been waiting for happens in the back of a carriage during the fourth episode, with an orchestral version of Pitbull’s 2011 hit "Give Me Everything" setting the mood.

Music supervisor Justin Kamps shared some insights on the song choice with Netflix Tudum. "I think everyone was a little bit shocked that they were so in love with this Pitbull song cover for this sequence, of all things," he said. "But the song is amazing, and it has this great build to it, and that's what the scene really needed. It needed this anticipation and then an explosion into the main chorus of the song as we see what's happening on-screen."

Here’s why it’s a big deal:

  • The cover leans into a pop sound, reflecting the original song’s explosive energy.
  • The orchestral version heightens the emotional tension, making it perfect for this pivotal moment.
  • Fans of the show get a cathartic release as the long-awaited romance finally unfolds.

Pitbull himself took to Instagram, sharing a clip of the scene where Colin confesses his feelings for Penelope. He wrote, "This again shows the world how music is the international language that transcends over boundaries more so how a hit song can remain timeless." The official Bridgerton account chimed in: "This author would most certainly agree with Lord Worldwide… Music speaks when words cannot."

Composer Archer Marsh’s orchestral reworking of "Give Me Everything," originally featuring Ne-Yo, Afrojack, and Nayer, adds a romantic twist. Pitbull’s original lyrics, like "Reach for the stars/And if you don't grab them/At least you'll fall on top of the world," transform into a sweeping, emotional soundtrack for Colin and Penelope's love story.

But that’s not all! The first batch of Bridgerton’s third season also includes orchestral covers of:

  • Gayle's "ABCDEFU"
  • BTS' "Dynamite"
  • Nick Jonas' "Jealous"
  • Sia's "Cheap Thrills"
  • Billie Eilish's "Happier Than Ever"
  • Taylor Swift's "Snow on the Beach"

The next set of episodes will drop on June 13, so mark your calendars!
