Former "Real Housewives of Orange County" star Lauri Peterson is mourning the loss of her son, Joshua Waring, who passed away at 35 on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024. In an emotional tribute on Instagram, Peterson expressed her deep grief, saying, "It is with a shattered heart that I write this post to let you know that my sweet Josh left this earth Easter Sunday." She described Josh as a fighter who battled for his life every day but ultimately faced a challenge that was too great.

Peterson fondly remembered Josh's childhood, filled with intelligence, humor, sports, and his love for music and adventure. Despite facing hardships as an adult, Josh maintained his sense of humor, optimism, and kindness towards others. His greatest joy, pride, and purpose came from being a father to his daughter, Kennady, watching her grow and thrive over the years.

Reflecting on Josh's struggles with substance abuse disorder, Peterson thanked those who tried to help him and expressed gratitude for the understanding and support she received. She also acknowledged the impact of sharing stories with others who have experienced similar struggles.

In recent years, Josh had faced legal troubles, including criminal charges for possession of fentanyl and methamphetamine in 2022. Despite these challenges, Peterson expressed unconditional love for her son, saying, "Josh, I love you so much and I will miss you terribly!" She promised to cherish his memory and find comfort in the belief that he had found peace.

Executive producer of RHOC, Andy Cohen, offered his condolences, praising Peterson for her efforts to save her son and educate others about addiction. Former RHOC co-stars, including Gretchen Rossi, Jeana Keough, Jo de la Rosa, and Peggy Tanous, also shared their condolences and memories of Josh, offering love and support to Peterson and her family during this difficult time.
