Arizona Cardinals' Post-Draft Ranking and Prospects for 2024 NFL Season

Written by Published

The Arizona Cardinals are scoring big with their 2024 NFL draft picks, earning high praise all around. Despite this, the general view of the team remains unchanged.

In the latest post-draft power rankings by Eric Edholm on NFL.com, the Cardinals hold the 26th spot among the 32 teams.

One standout in their draft strategy is Monti Ossenfort, who's steering the Cardinals' picks in an intriguing direction. They snagged Marvin Harrison Jr., arguably the best receiver in the draft, along with Darius Robinson, a solid pass rusher, Max Melton, a favorite Day 2 corner, and Trey Benson, a big-play back, all before Friday night was halfway through. The mix also includes some exciting mid-to-late picks like TE Tip Reiman, safety Dadrion Taylor-Demerson, and edge Xavier Thomas, plus the sixth-round OT Christian Jones. With such a strong lineup, they had a stellar weekend. If not for the tough NFC West competition, they might be ranked higher. Still, they're a team to watch out for.

Despite having Kyler Murray back and healthy in the offseason, the Cardinals, coming off a four-win season, will need to prove themselves to gain real attention for the 2024 season.

Head coach Jonathan Gannon wouldn't have it any other way, though.
