Get ready to bid, folks!
If you missed out on the Elly De La Cruz City Connect Bobblehead from Wednesday night's Reds game, don't worry—there's still hope. Listings for this unique collector's item were popping up on eBay even before the game's 7:10 p.m. start time.
Here's the scoop:
- The bobblehead was free to a limited number of fans who entered Great American Ball Park with a ticket.
- The game against the Cleveland Guardians was a sellout, and a packed crowd waited to enter the stadium, as seen in a photo posted on X (formerly known as Twitter).
- Many fans were out of luck if they entered the ballpark after supplies ran out.
And here’s a fun fact—the bobblehead features the 22-year-old in the Reds City Connect jersey, which the Reds debuted in May 2023.
But hold onto your wallets, because you might have to pay a pretty penny. Most listings are currently running between $66 and $150. One bobblehead—already sold—was listed at $5.50, while another is listed at a whopping $500.
This bobblehead is the fourth in a 2024 series featuring Reds players in the City Connect uniform. Earlier in the season, bobbleheads of Jake Fraley, Matt McLain, and Alexis Diaz in City Connect uniforms were already available.
Looking ahead, the next bobbleheads in the series will feature Graham Ashcraft, TJ Friedl, and Hunter Greene. Mark your calendars:
- Ashcraft bobblehead: July 7
- Friedl bobblehead: August 4
- Greene bobblehead: September 1
So, keep an eye out if you're looking to complete your collection!
