NFL Free Agency 2024: Top 100 Players & Team Roster Shakeups

Written by Published

The countdown is on! In just about seven months, we’ll finally get to watch an NFL game that actually means something again. But before that, there’s a whirlwind of action about to unfold. The landscape of teams is set to undergo massive changes, thanks to the NFL Draft, blockbuster trades, and the ever-exciting free agency period.

Speaking of free agency, we’re now just one month away from the frenzy kicking off. Mark your calendars—March 12 at 4 p.m. ET is when it all begins! Some teams will scramble to keep key players, while others will be looking to make strategic additions that could turn them into serious contenders.

One of the most anticipated aspects of free agency is the ranking of top available players. CBS Sports’ own Pete Prisco has once again done the hard work, meticulously evaluating and ranking the Top 100 free agents hitting the market this year. Leading the pack is Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold, followed closely by Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins and Philadelphia Eagles outside linebacker Josh Sweat.

Teams With the Most Players in the Top 100

It’s a four-way tie at the top for teams boasting the most players in Prisco’s list, with the Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Chargers, and Pittsburgh Steelers each having six players featured. Right behind them, the Bengals, Chiefs, Raiders, Jets, and Commanders all have five players making an appearance. Interestingly, every single NFL team has at least one player on the list—except the New England Patriots, who are conspicuously absent.

Here’s a detailed breakdown of each team’s top-ranked free agents, their positions, and their respective rankings:
