 Paul Skenes and Shohei Ohtani met on the field with all the flair you'd expect from the hardest-throwing rookie and the best two-way player in baseball.
 

Skenes, the Pittsburgh Pirates' rookie sensation making his fifth career start, struck out Ohtani on three blazing pitches—101.3, 100.1, and 100.8 mph—during their first showdown Wednesday night at PNC Park. But the two-time MVP wasn't going to let that slide easily.
