Fast forward to Game 2 at the American Airlines Center, and it was like a whole new vibe. Hintz and Seguin both netted their first playoff goals outside of garbage time, with Hintz even chipping in on a few assists. Then you got Miro Heiskanen, the defenseman with the golden touch, notching not one but two power play goals. That's the kind of magic that sealed the deal, tying up the series at 1-1.
DeBoer was pumped, saying, "Those guys want it bad. They stepped up when it mattered." And boy, did they ever. Heiskanen firing shots from the point, Seguin sneaking in a shorthanded goal, Hintz tearing up the ice — it was a sight to behold.
But it wasn't just the big names making waves. Jamie Benn, Jason Robertson, and the rest of the crew were dishing out assists like candy on Halloween. And let's not forget our defensive game, shutting down MacKinnon, Rantanen, and Makar like it was nobody's business. That's what happens when you play as a team, folks.
Heading into Denver for the next leg of the series, the Stars know they gotta keep that fire burning. Hintz and Seguin got their mojo back, but there's still more work to be done. And you can bet your bottom dollar they're hungry for it.
