Thunder Biyombo Collapse Near Bench: Scare Turns to Relief as Player Cleared of Serious Injury

Early reports suggest that the incident involving Thunder center Bismack Biyombo collapsing near the bench was not as serious as initially feared. Biyombo, who had yet to enter the game, was seen high-fiving players when he suddenly collapsed. Fortunately, he was quickly revived and walked back to the locker room, where he was evaluated by both the Oklahoma City medical staff and Portland's doctors. Thankfully, he was cleared of any serious medical issues.

Following the game, Thunder coach Mark Daigneault reassured everyone that Biyombo was "fine" and even joked around with his teammates. Thunder sideline reporter Nick Gallo reported that Biyombo was in good spirits postgame. The team has a few days off before their next game on Friday against the Heat.

Biyombo's collapse was a frightening moment, but the fact that he was able to walk off the court and joke with teammates afterwards is a relief. He joined the Thunder recently to provide depth in the front line and has played in only four games for a total of 23 minutes.
