4 All Foundation Receives National Lottery Community Fund Grant to Boost Local Wellbeing
A fantastic boost for local communities! 4 All Foundation, a charity supporting wellbeing, social connection, and community spirit, has been awarded a National Lottery Community Fund grant. This funding will help the charity expand its programs and continue supporting people across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and beyond.
Originally part of the Marches Academy Trust, 4 All Foundation became an independent charity in 2022. Since then, it has helped thousands of children and adults through a wide variety of activities, drop-ins, and group sessions.
Fun, Free Wellbeing Groups
The charity currently runs two popular wellbeing groups:
-
Shrewsbury – Ditherington Community Centre, Mondays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
-
Telford – Hub on the Hill, Sutton Hill, Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (supported by McPhillips Community Fund)
These groups are free and open to everyone, featuring activities such as:
-
Arts and crafts
-
Gardening
-
Gentle exercise
-
Day trips and outings
Supporting the Whole Community
4 All Foundation doesn’t stop there. Their programs include:
-
Youth clubs, workshops, and drop-ins
-
Management of three community centers (two in Shrewsbury, one in Market Drayton)
-
Partnerships with local schools and colleges for PE and extracurricular sessions
-
The North Shropshire District Association football program
Every activity focuses on at least one key area: sports participation, health and wellbeing, education and employability, or community engagement. Attendees range from newborns to 96 years old, with special attention given to areas identified as most in need.
A Word from the Team
George Hounsell, Director of Operations at 4 All Foundation, said:
“This grant is invaluable for the support we provide to communities across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and further afield. More than 90% of our activities are free, breaking down financial barriers so everyone can benefit physically, emotionally, and socially. Last year we saw amazing growth, and in 2026 we’re on track to expand even further.”
This new funding, combined with support from local authorities, businesses, and individuals, will help 4 All continue building stronger, healthier, and happier communities.
