$5 Million Massachusetts Lottery Win Claimed in Uxbridge

Big lottery news hit Worcester County this week — a $5 million winning ticket was officially claimed from the Massachusetts State Lottery.

The lucky ticket came from the “$5,000,000 100X Cashword” instant game and was purchased at Mobil, located at 1 North Main Street in Uxbridge. As a bonus for selling the winning ticket, the store is also walking away with $50,000. Not a bad day at the register.

The prize was claimed by Baker Law Group Mass Lottery Trust, based in Hingham. The trust is managed by trustee Michael Baker, who chose the one-time lump sum option. Before taxes, the payout totaled $3,250,000.

A few quick highlights about the game:

  • 💰 Only two $5 million grand prizes were available

  • 🎯 Odds of hitting the top prize: more than 1 in 5 million

  • 🏆 The game also featured 10 prizes worth $1 million, and all have already been claimed

The Massachusetts State Lottery releases a daily list of winning tickets, making it easy for players to stay in the loop and double-check their numbers.

Big wins like this don’t happen every day — and this one definitely made Uxbridge a little luckier. 🍀
