New York’s Million Dollar Raffle just made headlines — and a few new millionaires — across the Empire State! Inspired by the Erie Canal bicentennial celebration, this special raffle handed out a total of 5,505 winning tickets statewide.
Among the big winners:

15 tickets worth a cool $1 million each were sold, including one lucky ticket at Mirabito on South Main Street in New Berlin.

A $100,000 prize ticket was snagged in Herkimer, sold at Cliff’s Local Market on East State Street.

Another 15 tickets, each worth $25,000, also hit — though none of these came from local spots this time.
