Lucky Signs Lead to £1M EuroMillions Win for Buckinghamshire Woman
Sometimes, the universe really does send you a nudge — and for one Buckinghamshire woman, those “signs” turned into a life-changing £1 million jackpot.
The anonymous winner said she’d been feeling a strong pull to play the National Lottery’s EuroMillions draw that day. Tempted by the size of the jackpot, she decided to enter online — and it turned out to be the best decision she’s ever made.
“It feels amazing, not just for myself, but to be able to help other people too,” she shared after learning about her incredible win.
Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at Allwyn (the operator of The National Lottery), offered a huge congratulations, calling it “a wonderful, transformative moment.” He added, “The financial freedom that comes with winning such a huge amount makes such a difference.”
Her winning ticket came from the UK’s exclusive “Millionaire Maker” raffle — a special EuroMillions feature that guarantees one UK player a £1 million prize every Tuesday and Friday. Each ticket carries a unique code of four letters and five numbers, and one lucky code is randomly selected by computer.
To date, more than 7,400 millionaires have been created since the National Lottery began over 30 years ago, with £50 billion raised for Good Causes and over 700,000 grants distributed nationwide.
Fun fact: the largest EuroMillions win ever in the UK came in July 2022, when one anonymous player took home a record-breaking £195.7 million.
Players can grab tickets online through the National Lottery app, website, or simply at their nearest store.
