A Canadian man who had only been playing Lotto Max for about a month is now celebrating a life-changing $15 million jackpot after matching all seven numbers in the June 5 draw.
The lucky winner, Don Matheson of Lacombe, Alberta, never imagined his new hobby would pay off so quickly.

The massive win also became the ultimate birthday surprise.
"I bought the ticket just before my birthday, so this turned into one incredible birthday gift," he said. "It's a gift that will keep on giving."
One thing that won't change is Matheson's eye-catching pink beard. He keeps it dyed pink to support Pink Shirt Day and raise awareness about bullying.
"I promised some kids I'd do my part to help stop bullying, so this is my pink shirt every day," he explained. "I'll shave it off when bullying finally ends."
Matheson purchased the winning Lotto Max ticket at a Circle K store on 52nd Avenue in Lacombe. His story proves that sometimes even a brand-new lottery player can hit the jackpot.
