Five Connecticut Lottery Winners Cash In on $183,000 in Prizes

Lucky lottery players across Connecticut cashed in big this week, with five winners claiming a combined total of $183,000 in prizes on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The biggest win came from a South Windsor resident, who scored an impressive $100,000 prize from a Fabulous Fortune scratch-off ticket. The lucky ticket was purchased at Quickstop Convenience on Sullivan Avenue in South Windsor. According to the Connecticut Lottery, the odds of landing that prize were 1 in 500,000.

Another major winner came out of Meriden, where a resident claimed $50,000 from a winning Powerball ticket. The ticket was sold at Maganti Oil Energy on South Broad Street. Connecticut Lottery officials said the odds of winning a $50,000 Powerball prize are 1 in 913,130.

Here are some of the other big wins reported this week:

  • A Stamford resident won $13,000 playing Keno after buying a ticket at One Stop Variety in Norwalk.
  • A Newington resident claimed $10,000 from a Play4 ticket purchased at Mr Associates on Willard Avenue.
  • A visitor from Little River, South Carolina, picked up $10,000 from a 10X Cash 18th Edition scratch-off ticket bought at Wineland Discount Liquors in Southington.

The South Carolina winner beat odds of 1 in 23,551.40 to claim the top prize on the 10X Cash 18th Edition game. Each ticket for that scratch-off costs $10.

It turned into an exciting couple of days for Connecticut Lottery players, with winners popping up from several towns across the state and plenty of lucky tickets turning into life-changing payouts.
