An ordinary stop at a convenience store turned into a life-changing moment for a 69-year-old Ocala woman who won millions on a Florida Lottery scratch-off ticket.

Robin Vollmer claimed her prize at the Florida Lottery office in Gainesville on June 5 after winning the $5,000,000 TRIPLE MATCH scratch-off game. Rather than receiving payments over time, she chose the lump-sum cash option and took home $3,319,810 before taxes.

Her winning $20 ticket was purchased at Quick King Food Store, located at 8955 S.W. Highway 200 in Ocala.

Details About the Winning Ticket

The Florida Lottery launched the $5,000,000 TRIPLE MATCH game in September 2023, offering players a chance to win one of eight top prizes worth $5 million each. The game featured more than $447 million in total prizes.

According to lottery officials, the odds of winning any prize in the game were approximately 1 in 2.85, giving players a chance to win at several prize levels.

Florida Lottery Supports Education

Beyond creating big winners, the Florida Lottery plays a major role in funding education across the state. It has contributed more than $51 billion toward educational programs and helped over one million students attend Florida colleges, universities, and technical schools through the Bright Futures Scholarship Program.

The lottery also returns 99% of its revenue to Florida's economy through prize payments, retailer commissions, and education funding. Its network includes more than 13,600 retailers throughout the state.

Since launching in 1988, Florida Lottery games have awarded more than $110 billion in prizes and created over 4,900 millionaires.

For Vollmer, one scratch-off ticket purchased at a local convenience store delivered a multimillion-dollar payday.
