The Georgia Lottery said the winner scored the $1 million top prize on the 50X The Money scratch-off game. The winning ticket was purchased at Gaines Ferry Shell on Atlanta Highway in Flowery Branch.
The winner recently claimed the prize and opted for the lump-sum cash payment instead of receiving the money through annual installments.
According to lottery officials, the ticket holder claimed the winnings on September 29 and walked away with a $809,000 cash payout.
