Greensboro Woman Snags $250,000 Top Prize on New Holiday Scratch-Off
A Greensboro resident just turned a $20 ticket into a holiday windfall! Jacqueline Colvin scored the first $250,000 top prize in North Carolina’s brand-new Winter Winfall scratch-off game — talk about perfect timing for the season.
Colvin grabbed her lucky ticket at the Harris Teeter on West Friendly Avenue in Greensboro. When she realized she hit the jackpot, she didn’t waste any time — heading straight to lottery headquarters on Monday to claim her prize.
After state and federal tax withholdings, Colvin walked away with a sweet $179,381 in hand. Not a bad return on a $20 ticket!
