Jacksonville Hits the $1 Million Powerball Jackpot—Again!

Jacksonville is celebrating once more! For the second time in less than a month, a lucky player in Northeast Florida snagged $1 million with a Powerball ticket. The latest winner matched five numbers in the Oct. 15 drawing. Their ticket was purchased at Publix on 7117 Merrill Road. Earlier, another $1 million ticket was sold on Sept. 29 at Golden Ox Liquors on Normandy Boulevard.

Wednesday’s drawing also produced a $1 million winner in Kentucky. While nobody hit the jackpot, the Powerball prize keeps climbing—an estimated $295 million is up for grabs in the next drawing on Saturday, Oct. 18 (cash option: $138.1 million).

Powerball Numbers from Oct. 15: 10-13-28-34-47 | Powerball: 15 | Power Play: 3x

Jacksonville, located about 30 miles south of the Georgia state line, seems to be a lucky spot for million-dollar wins. And it’s not just local excitement—remember Sept. 6? Two tickets split one of the largest jackpots in history: $1.787 billion, sold in Texas and Missouri.
