The Jets knew they had to beef up their offensive line for the 2024 season, and boy, did they deliver! They brought in Tyron Smith and Morgan Moses through a trade with Baltimore during free agency and picked up Olu Fashanu in the first round of the draft.

Exciting Highlights:

  • Tyron Smith: Ranked No. 7 among offensive tackles
  • Morgan Moses: Ranked No. 18 among offensive tackles

As a result, the Jets now boast two of the top offensive tackles in the NFL. According to Pro Football Focus (PFF) and their writer Zoltan Buday, both Smith and Moses are among the top 32 offensive tackles.

Tyron Smith is an absolute beast, landing inside the top ten at No. 7. Despite missing some games due to injury, he played 942 snaps in 2023—the most he’s played since 2018. His pass-blocking game was on fire, earning a stellar PFF grade of 89.3, the best among all offensive tackles.

Morgan Moses isn’t too far behind, securing the No. 18 spot. He had a career-best season with the Ravens, boasting an 80.4 PFF grade and a career-high pass-blocking grade of 77.0, ranking 21st among all offensive tackles. His performance placed him 10th in his position, marking the highest ranking of his career.

So, not only did the Jets snag two top-32 tackles, but they also landed two of the top 18. This upgrade is bound to make a significant impact on their offensive line for the upcoming season.
