How to Claim a Louisiana Lottery Prize
Louisiana Lottery retailers can cash prizes of up to $600. For prizes above that amount, winners can submit their tickets by mail or visit a Louisiana Lottery office.
Prizes worth more than $5,000 must be claimed at a Lottery office.
Claiming by Mail
To claim a prize by mail, follow these steps:
- Sign the back of your winning ticket and complete the required information. Make sure the barcodes are easy to see.
- For scratch-off tickets, remove all scratch-off material before sending the ticket.
- Make a copy of the front and back of the ticket. Photocopies are not accepted for Powerball or Mega Millions tickets.
- Complete the Louisiana Lottery Prize Claim Form with your phone number and mailing address.
- Include a copy of your valid driver's license or current photo ID.
- Place everything in one envelope and mail it to:

- Mega Millions: 10 p.m. CT on Tuesday and Friday
