How to Claim a Louisiana Lottery Prize
Louisiana Lottery retailers can cash prizes of up to $600. For prizes above that amount, winners can claim their tickets by mail or in person at a Louisiana Lottery office.
Prizes worth more than $5,000 must be claimed at a Lottery office.
For mail-in claims, winners should:
- Sign the back of the winning ticket and make sure all required information is completed.
- Make sure the ticket's barcodes are clearly visible.
- Make a copy of the front and back of the ticket. Copies are not accepted for Powerball or Mega Millions tickets.
- Complete the Louisiana Lottery Prize Claim Form with your phone number and mailing address.
- Include a copy of a valid driver's license or current photo ID.

Winners can also claim prizes in person at the Louisiana Lottery headquarters at 555 Laurel Street in Baton Rouge. The office is open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and can cash prizes of any amount.

- Powerball: 9:59 p.m. CT on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday
- Mega Millions: 10 p.m. CT on Tuesday and Friday
