Looks like the 30th edition of Bremerton's St. Patrick's Day parade is in for some luck with the weather! Saturday afternoon is expected to be sunny with temperatures on the rise.
Scheduled for 2 p.m. on March 16, the annual event will see walkers, bicycles, and floats lining up for a loop of downtown starting on Pacific Avenue. Spectators can grab their spots starting at Sixth and Pacific, where the parade kicks off. The route takes it down Pacific to Fourth Street, then along Fourth to Park Avenue, and finally back up Fifth Street to Pacific.
But the fun doesn't end with the parade! After the procession, everyone can join in on a kid-friendly coin scavenger hunt along the parade route. The Downtown Bremerton Association has hidden 800 wooden coins around downtown and inside participating businesses. Find a coin and redeem it at local businesses between 2 and 4 p.m. for some exciting prizes.
