Big Lottery Wins Shake Up Massachusetts

Massachusetts saw some major lottery excitement on Monday! A lucky player in Boston snagged a $2 million grand prize from the “$2,000,000 50X Cashword 2025” scratch-off, which hit stores back in October 2025. This marks only the second $2 million prize claimed in the game, leaving three more still up for grabs.

The winning ticket was purchased at Savin Hill Wine & Spirits in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood—definitely a spot worth celebrating!

Meanwhile, another player in Woburn scored big with a $100,000 prize from a “Diamond Deluxe” ticket at Lucky Choice.

But that’s not all—Monday was a big day statewide:

  • At least 735 prizes of $600 or more were claimed across Massachusetts.
  • Boston: 61 winners
  • Springfield: 27 winners
  • Worcester: 23 winners

The Massachusetts State Lottery posts a full list of winning tickets every day, but only for prizes $600 and above.

Looking at the bigger picture, the largest prize claimed in Massachusetts so far this year was an eye-popping $25 million! That ticket came from the “$25,000,000 Mega Money” scratch-off and was sold at a Cumberland Farms gas station in Turners Falls, a village in Montague, Franklin County.
