Massachusetts Lottery Launches 11th Annual Holiday Toy Drive for Children in Need

The Massachusetts State Lottery is getting into the holiday spirit with its 11th Annual Holiday Toy Drive, inviting residents to donate new, unwrapped toys to help children and families in need.

The campaign will run from Monday, November 9, through Friday, December 11, 2026. Donations will support the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve's Toys for Tots program, along with several local charitable organizations across Massachusetts.

Residents can drop off toys Monday through Friday, from 8:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding holidays, at the following locations:

  • Lottery headquarters in Dorchester

  • Prize claim centers in West Springfield

  • Braintree

  • Lawrence

  • New Bedford

  • Worcester

State Treasurer Deborah B. Goldberg, who chairs the Massachusetts State Lottery Commission, thanked players and employees for their continued generosity. She said the annual drive reflects the Lottery's commitment to supporting local communities and bringing holiday happiness to families throughout the state.

Lottery Reminds Public About Age Restrictions

Along with collecting toys, the Lottery is using the holiday season to promote responsible gift-giving. In partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health's Office of Problem Gambling Services, officials are reminding residents that lottery tickets should never be given to anyone under 18.

Lottery Executive Director Mark William Bracken also thanked everyone participating in the campaign and encouraged the public to keep age restrictions in mind when choosing holiday gifts.

The reminder is part of a nationwide responsible-gifting initiative led by the National Council on Problem Gambling and supported by the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries.

The campaign aims to prevent lottery products from becoming holiday gifts for children while encouraging safer and more responsible choices during the festive season.
