A lucky lottery player in Massachusetts scored a winning ticket in Thursday night's Mass Cash drawing, with the ticket purchased at a local country store in Southwick.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, the winning ticket was sold at Millie's Country Store. The drawing took place on October 29, with the winning numbers:

2, 16, 20, 22 and 24

The Mass Cash game offers players a chance to win several cash prizes for just $1 per ticket. Drawings are held every day at 9 p.m.

To play, participants select five numbers between 1 and 35. The prizes are awarded based on how many numbers match:

  • 5 matching numbers: $100,000
  • 4 matching numbers: $250
  • 3 matching numbers: $10

Thursday was also a big day for another Massachusetts lottery player, as a $500,000 winning ticket sold at a Cumberland Farms location in Central Massachusetts was claimed.

The state's lottery players enjoyed plenty of other wins, too. At least 984 prizes worth $600 or more were won or claimed across Massachusetts on Thursday. These included:

  • 11 winning prizes in Springfield
  • 8 prizes in Worcester
  • 39 prizes in Boston

The Massachusetts State Lottery publishes a daily list of winning tickets valued at more than $600, giving players a way to check whether their tickets are worth a significant prize.

Meanwhile, the biggest lottery prize claimed in Massachusetts so far this year was an impressive $29.71 million Megabucks jackpot. The winning ticket was purchased at King Mart in Holyoke.
