The Mega Millions jackpot is closing in on a jaw-dropping $1 billion, after no one matched all six numbers in the Nov. 11 drawing. The next drawing on Friday night will feature an estimated $965 million prize, or a $445.3 million cash option — making it the 8th largest Mega Millions jackpot ever and the 14th biggest lottery prize in U.S. history.
The winning numbers for Tuesday’s draw were 10, 13, 40, 42, 46, and Mega Ball 1.
While no one hit the jackpot, a few players came remarkably close:
-
💰 $5 million (5X multiplier) — sold at a CVS in Peoria, Arizona
-
💰 $3 million (3X multiplier) — sold at Nofo Beer and Smoke, Mattituck, New York
-
💰 $3 million (3X multiplier) — sold at Kwik Star, Norwalk, Iowa
The last Mega Millions jackpot was taken home in Virginia back on June 27 — worth a cool $348 million.

Where You Can Play
You can grab tickets at most gas stations, convenience stores, or grocery stores in 45 states, plus D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands. (Sorry, Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah — no luck there!)
You can also buy online through Jackpocket in select states, but check your local purchase cutoff time, which can be up to two hours before the drawing.
The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot? A humbling 1 in 302.6 million. But hey — someone has to win it, right?
