Mega Millions Jackpot Climbs to $707 Million After No Winner in July Drawing
The Mega Millions jackpot is getting even bigger! Since no one matched all six numbers in the latest drawing, the grand prize has now grown to an estimated $707 million, with a cash option of about $307.7 million for the next draw.
Winning Numbers for Friday, July 17
The winning numbers were:
2 • 11 • 23 • 44 • 69
Mega Ball: 13
Unfortunately, no ticket matched every number needed to claim the jackpot.
What's Next?
The next Mega Millions drawing will take place on Tuesday, July 21, at 11:00 p.m. Drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday.
How Much Does a Ticket Cost?
A Mega Millions ticket costs $5 per play.
If you're buying a ticket in Michigan, both in-store and online sales close at 10:45 p.m. on drawing nights.
How to Play Mega Millions
Playing is simple:
- Choose five different white ball numbers from 1 to 70.
- Pick one Mega Ball number from 1 to 24.
- Don't want to choose your own numbers? Just use the Easy Pick/Quick Pick option for randomly selected numbers.
Built-In Multiplier Adds Bigger Prizes
Mega Millions no longer offers the Megaplier option. Instead, every ticket now includes a random built-in multiplier at no extra cost.
That multiplier can increase non-jackpot prizes by 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, or even 10X, making smaller wins much more valuable.

Cash or Annuity? Jackpot Winners Have Two Choices
If you win the Mega Millions jackpot, you can choose one of two payout options:
- Cash Option: Receive a one-time lump-sum payment equal to the available cash value of the jackpot.
- Annuity Option: Get one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments, with each payment increasing by 5% over the previous one to help keep pace with inflation.
If more than one ticket wins the jackpot in the same drawing, the prize is split equally among all winning ticket holders.
