A Michigan man couldn’t believe his luck when he realized he’d just won big on Club Keno The Jack. The 45-year-old from Otsego County bought his ticket at a store in Gaylord, playing the game only when the jackpot topped $100,000.
“I play Club Keno every now and then, but I only play The Jack when it gets over $100,000,” he told lottery officials. He bought a ticket for 30 draws and planned to grab a drink while the draws were still happening.
When he checked the Lottery app, he thought someone else had snagged the jackpot. But after scanning his ticket, he discovered he had matched nine numbers—and the prize? A whopping $564,219.
“All I could think was: ‘What am I going to do with all this money?’ It was an incredible feeling,” he said. He shared that he plans to invest his winnings wisely.
For perspective, Gaylord is about a 235-mile drive northwest of Detroit—a small town now home to a big jackpot story.
