New York Knicks fans have a special chance to be part of the team's championship celebration this week. New York City is giving away 600 free tickets to an exclusive ceremony at City Hall through a public lottery that remains open until 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
A total of 300 winners will be selected, and each winner will receive two tickets to attend the event. Those chosen will be notified once the lottery closes.
The celebration kicks off on Thursday with a historic ticker-tape parade through Lower Manhattan's famous Canyon of Heroes. After the parade, fans with tickets can head to City Hall Plaza, where the championship ceremony is set to begin at 12 p.m.
🎉 Highlights of the event include:
- Speeches honoring the Knicks' championship run
- Live musical performances
- Presentation of the Keys to the City for Knicks players
Mayor Zohran Mamdani said the team's success united New Yorkers across all five boroughs and from every background. To reflect that spirit, the city made the tickets completely free and available to the public through the lottery system.
For lucky fans, it's a rare opportunity to celebrate alongside the team and be part of a memorable moment in New York City sports history.
