A Massachusetts woman just turned a $10 scratch ticket into a life-changing payday — and there’s still one massive prize left in the game.
Karen Chudy of Palmer stepped forward on Thursday after realizing she’d hit big playing the “$4,000,000 Gold 50X” scratch-off. She bought the lucky ticket at the Shell gas station at 3086 S. Main St. in Bondsville — a quick stop that paid off in a huge way.
Instead of taking yearly payments, Chudy chose the cash option and walked away with a one-time payout of $650,000 before taxes. She told lottery officials she plans to use the money for home improvements — talk about a renovation budget upgrade!
