Someone in Pennsylvania just hit the jackpot—well, almost! A ticket sold in Berks County scored a $1 million Powerball win in the Nov. 1 drawing, according to the Pennsylvania Lottery.
Here’s the breakdown: the lucky ticket matched five white balls — 2, 26, 43, 44, and 62 — missing only the red Powerball. Still, that’s a life-changing win worth a cool $1 million (before taxes).
The winning ticket was sold at Giant Food Stores, 4655 Perkiomen Ave., Exeter Township. As a bonus, the retailer also gets to celebrate with a $5,000 payout for selling the winning ticket.
If you played that night, double-check your numbers! More than 36,600 other tickets also snagged smaller prizes from that same draw. Winners have one year from the drawing date to claim their prize, and remember — sign the back of your ticket immediately to secure your claim.
Meanwhile, the Powerball excitement isn’t over. The current jackpot has climbed to an estimated $419 million, or $198 million in cash. The next drawing happens tonight, Nov. 3, so it might just be your turn next.
