How to Claim a South Dakota Lottery Prize
Winning a smaller prize is easy to handle, while larger prizes require a direct claim with the South Dakota Lottery.
- Prizes of $100 or less: Can be claimed at any South Dakota Lottery retailer.
- Prizes of $101 or more: Must be claimed through the Lottery. For mail-in claims, send the completed claim form along with the signed winning ticket to 711 E. Wells Avenue, Pierre, SD 57501.
Certain major prizes have additional requirements. Jackpot-winning tickets for Dakota Cash or Lotto America, top prizes for Lucky for Life, and second-prize Powerball or Mega Millions tickets must be presented in person at a Lottery office.
A Powerball or Mega Millions jackpot ticket must be claimed in person at the South Dakota Lottery office in Pierre.
