- $101 or more: The prize must be claimed through the South Dakota Lottery. For mail-in claims, send a completed claim form and your signed winning ticket to the Lottery at 711 E. Wells Avenue, Pierre, SD 57501.
- Certain major prizes: Jackpot-winning Dakota Cash and Lotto America tickets, top-prize Lucky for Life tickets, and second-prize Powerball or Mega Millions tickets must be presented in person at a Lottery office.
- Powerball or Mega Millions jackpot: The winning ticket must be presented in person at the Lottery office in Pierre.
