Tennessee Powerball Players Score Big as Jackpot Hits $1 Billion

Tennessee lottery players had plenty to celebrate after Monday night’s Powerball drawing, even though no one hit the massive jackpot.

The jackpot had reached an estimated $905 million, with a cash option of $391.9 million, before the drawing. Since no ticket matched all six winning numbers, the prize has now jumped to an estimated $1 billion, with a cash value of about $433.1 million.

But several Tennessee players still walked away with major prizes.

According to lottery officials, three tickets won $50,000 each, while another lucky ticket matched enough numbers to win an impressive $2 million.

The three $50,000 tickets were sold at:

• Roadrunner — 5019 Bobby Hicks Highway, Johnson City
• Kroger — 2100 Lowes Drive, Clarksville
• Lucky’s Place — 3362 Huntsville Highway, Fayetteville

The biggest Tennessee winner of the night purchased their ticket at Weigels, 2230 Polymer Drive in Chattanooga, scoring the $2 million prize.
