UK Player Strikes £26M EuroMillions Jackpot as £10.6M Lotto Prize Remains Unclaimed

A lucky UK player has just scooped the £26 million EuroMillions jackpot, the National Lottery confirmed. The winning numbers drawn Friday night were 06, 12, 18, 25, and 41, with Lucky Stars 02 and 06.

This marks the third EuroMillions jackpot claimed in the UK this year. Earlier, one winner pocketed £83 million in January, and another walked away with £65 million on Valentine’s Day. Both chose to stay anonymous.

Despite making someone a multi-millionaire, Friday’s £26 million win doesn’t crack the list of EuroMillions’ biggest-ever prizes. The top 10 would require a jackpot exceeding £183 million, with the largest UK win standing at £195 million in 2022.

Meanwhile, Saturday’s £10.6 million Lotto jackpot still has no claimant. The winning numbers were 06, 08, 12, 33, 49, 59, with bonus number 42. Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at Allwyn, reminded players to double-check tickets and emails. “We’re here to guide winners and connect them with experts who can help them make the most of their win—for themselves and their loved ones,” he said.

Interestingly, even big wins can go unclaimed. A player in Rhondda Cynon Taf missed a £1 million EuroMillions prize last year after failing to claim within 180 days, and the funds went to National Lottery-backed projects. The largest unclaimed UK EuroMillions prize was £63.8 million in June 2012.

EuroMillions draws take place every Tuesday and Friday across nine European countries. Once verified against the game’s rules, the new £26 million winner will decide whether to reveal their identity.
