How to Claim a Vermont Lottery Prize

Prizes of $499 or less can be claimed at an authorized Vermont Lottery retailer or at Vermont Lottery Headquarters. Winners must present their signed ticket for validation.

For prizes from $500 to $5,000, winners can visit any M&T Bank location in Vermont during Lottery office hours, which are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding state holidays.

Prizes above $5,000 must be claimed in person at Vermont Lottery Headquarters. Winners need a signed ticket, government-issued photo ID and a completed claim form.

All prizes must be claimed within one year of the drawing date.

What Is Vermont Lottery Second Chance?

The Vermont Lottery's 2nd Chance program gives players another shot at winning after an eligible instant scratch ticket doesn't win.

Players can enter qualifying non-winning scratch tickets through the state's official Lottery website or app. Second Chance drawings are generally held quarterly or as part of special promotions.
