How to Claim a Vermont Lottery Prize

The process depends on the value of the winning ticket:

  • Prizes up to $499: Can be claimed at an authorized Vermont Lottery retailer or at Vermont Lottery Headquarters. The winning ticket must be signed and validated.
  • Prizes from $500 to $5,000: Can be claimed at any M&T Bank location in Vermont during lottery office business hours.
  • Prizes above $5,000: Must be claimed in person at Vermont Lottery Headquarters.

For larger prizes, winners must provide a government-issued photo ID, signed winning ticket and completed claim form.

Lottery prizes must be claimed within one year of the drawing date.
