How to Claim a Vermont Lottery Prize
Think you have a winning ticket? The amount of your prize determines where you can cash it:
- Up to $499: Claim at an authorized Vermont Lottery retailer or the Vermont Lottery headquarters.
- $500 to $5,000: Claim at any M&T Bank location in Vermont during Lottery office business hours.
- More than $5,000: You must claim the prize in person at Vermont Lottery headquarters.
Winners must sign their ticket and provide a government-issued photo ID and completed claim form when required. All prizes must be claimed within one year of the drawing date.

What Is Vermont Lottery Second Chance?
Vermont’s Second Chance program gives players another shot at winning after an eligible instant scratch ticket doesn’t win.
Players can register eligible non-winning tickets through the Vermont Lottery’s official website or app. Drawings are generally held quarterly or as part of special promotions, with drawings conducted by Pollard Banknote Limited in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
