How to Claim a Vermont Lottery Prize
Prize-claim rules depend on how much you won:
- Up to $499: Prizes can be claimed at an authorized Vermont Lottery retailer or at Lottery Headquarters with a signed winning ticket.
- $500 to $5,000: Winners can claim prizes at any M&T Bank location in Vermont during Lottery business hours.
- More than $5,000: Winners must claim the prize in person at Vermont Lottery Headquarters. A signed ticket, government-issued photo ID and completed claim form are required.
Lottery claims must be submitted within one year of the drawing date.

What Is Vermont Lottery Second Chance?
Vermont's 2nd Chance program gives players another shot at winning after buying an eligible non-winning instant scratch ticket. Players can enter qualifying tickets for drawings featuring cash and other prizes.
Registration is required through the Vermont Lottery's official website or app. Second Chance drawings are generally held quarterly or as part of special promotions.
