How to Claim a Vermont Lottery Prize
Winning a smaller prize is pretty straightforward. Prizes of up to $499 can be claimed at an authorized Vermont Lottery retailer or at Lottery Headquarters. Winners need to sign their ticket before it can be validated.
For prizes from $500 to $5,000, winners can visit an M&T Bank location in Vermont during Vermont Lottery business hours, which are generally 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding state holidays.
For prizes above $5,000, winners must claim the prize in person at Vermont Lottery Headquarters. Bring the signed winning ticket, a government-issued photo ID and a completed claim form.
Important: Lottery prizes must be claimed within one year of the drawing date.

What Is Vermont Lottery Second Chance?
The Vermont Lottery also gives players another shot through its 2nd Chance program.
Players can enter eligible non-winning instant scratch tickets into special drawings for a chance to win cash or other prizes. To participate, players must register through the Vermont Lottery's official website or app.
Second Chance drawings are generally held quarterly or as part of special promotions. The drawings take place at Pollard Banknote Limited in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
