The buzz around the Cincinnati Bengals possibly snagging Georgia tight end Brock Bowers in the 2024 NFL draft is spreading like wildfire. It's become a hot topic across the league.
During a recent conference call, NFL Media's Daniel Jeremiah stirred the pot even more by suggesting that if everything aligned perfectly for the Bengals, it would be a "throw a parade" moment if Bowers fell to them at the 18th pick. While Jeremiah admitted it's highly unlikely, he acknowledged that once in a while, the draft surprises us.
Jeremiah highlighted that Bowers is the top tight end in this class, and envisioning him alongside Mike Gesicki in an offense without Tyler Boyd and possibly Tee Higgins next year is an exciting prospect.
However, nabbing Bowers would mean passing on critical needs in the trenches, both offensively and defensively. Plus, with his talent, it's unlikely he'll still be available at No. 18, unless there's a quarterback frenzy, as predicted in their latest mock draft.
