Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann has committed to stay on beyond this summer's Euros, putting an end to any speculation about him taking over from Thomas Tuchel at Bayern Munich. This move leaves some of Europe's top coaching jobs up for grabs, with Bayern, Liverpool, and Barcelona all on the hunt for new managers.

Nagelsmann's decision to extend his contract means he'll be leading the German national team until after the 2026 World Cup in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. The German FA (DFB) announced the news, emphasizing the importance of continuity as Germany prepares to host Euro 2024.

The DFB's supervisory board and shareholders were unanimous in their decision to retain Nagelsmann. Reports suggested that Bayern had considered him as a potential replacement for Tuchel, who will be stepping down at the end of the season.

Nagelsmann, who was sacked by Bayern in March 2023 and replaced by Tuchel, expressed his delight at continuing as Germany's head coach. He highlighted the honor of working with the country's top talent and the opportunity to inspire the nation through successful performances, particularly mentioning the recent wins against France and the Netherlands.

DFB president Bernd Neuendorf acknowledged that Nagelsmann's attractiveness to top clubs played a role in the decision to extend his contract early. Neuendorf praised Nagelsmann's commitment to the national team, stating that it was more than just a job for him.

Meanwhile, Tuchel confirmed that he will be leaving Bayern in the summer, despite their recent success in the Champions League. Bayern's failure to win the Bundesliga this year marks the first time since 2012 that they haven't clinched the title.
