So, you know, Dakota Johnson hit up Saturday Night Live, and she was all like, "Guys, I just can't be all serious during interviews, especially when I'm promoting my movies." She's starring in the new Marvel flick Madame Web with Sydney Sweeney, Isabela Merced, and Celeste O’Connor. She's been hitting the press circuit hard, and she's like, "Talking to journalists? Not my jam."
She spilled the beans, like, "I'm just not good at this interview thing. I mean, I say stuff, they write it down, and it's not fair because most of the time, I'm just messing around." Classic Dakota, right?
And get this, she's been this way since forever. She even showed this rad '90s video of herself on the red carpet with her dad, Don Johnson. Homegirl was rolling her eyes back then too. Fast forward to SNL, and she's still rolling those eyes, but this time, she's cracking up.
Now, about her Marvel movie dropping on Feb. 14 – she describes it as, "It’s like if AI made the perfect movie for your boyfriend." Like, how cool is that?
This wasn't Dakota's first SNL rodeo. She hosted back in 2015 and had a trip down memory lane. There's this pic of her in the audience with Steven Spielberg, Sarah Palin, George Lucas, and, get this, Donald Trump. She jokes about standing close to Trump and how wild it is that he became the big cheese in America. And there's Taylor Swift sitting right in front of her in the pic – wild times, man.
But hold on, she calls out Justin Timberlake as the musical guest, and he takes the stage thinking he's hosting too. Dakota's giving him the side-eye, and Timberlake is like, "I thought I was hosting too, I've done it five times already!" Dakota's like, "Sure, but that was ages ago. Anyway, glad you chose my show for your comeback." Timberlake's not too sure about the "comeback" thing, but they play it off with some sexy comeback jokes. Classic Timberlake, am I right?

Oh, and Jimmy Fallon pops in, dressed as Barry Gibb during Dakota's monologue. Later on, Fallon and Timberlake revive The Barry Gibb Talk Show. It's Dakota's second SNL hosting gig, and guess what? Shark Tank stars Barbara Corcoran and Mark Cuban make surprise appearances. Talk about a star-studded night!
