Rebel Wilson's Memoir: Feuds and Revelations with Adele and Sacha Baron Cohen

Written by Published

Rebel Wilson believes Adele might hold a grudge against her, all because of some mix-ups from back in the day when people used to confuse the two of them.

In her upcoming memoir, "Rebel Rising," the "Pitch Perfect" star, 44, shared this juicy tidbit, as reported by Us Weekly. She mentioned, “Some actresses might get touchy if I called them plus-size in this book, so I've got to watch my words. That's probably why Adele hates me.” Wilson speculated, “There was a time when she was a bit bigger, and folks would mix us up,” though she admitted she's never actually asked Adele about it.

Wilson also claimed she's bumped into Adele at various events but said the Grammy winner would always “quickly” turn away when approached. “She wasn’t a fan of being compared to ‘Fat Amy,’” Wilson added, referring to her iconic character from the “Pitch Perfect” movies.

According to Wilson, she isn't the only one stirring the pot with her memoir. She also spilled the tea on her experience with Sacha Baron Cohen while filming "The Brothers Grimsby," calling him a “massive a–hole” she was “scared” of.

In an excerpt published by People, Wilson recounted feeling uncomfortable as Cohen allegedly kept pushing for her to do a nude scene. “It seemed like every time I talked to SBC, he'd bring up wanting me to go naked in a future scene,” she claimed. “I was like, ‘Ha, I don’t do nudity, Sacha.’”

Wilson alleged that Cohen then surprised her by asking her to film an additional scene, during which he reportedly dropped his pants and requested she stick her finger up his behind. Shocked, Wilson refused, but she said she finally agreed to slap his rear and improvise lines just to get out of the situation.

Cohen has vehemently denied Wilson's accusations, with his rep stating that they are “demonstrably false” and countered by “extensive, detailed evidence.”

Despite the backlash, Wilson has stood by her claims, asserting on social media that she won't back down. So, it seems like there's more to this story than meets the eye.
